Basic facts

Today I have been playing this basic facts game. I choose to do stage 7 because I thought that I could challenge myself and  try it for the first time. While I was doing this I found it challenging especially when I did the fractions and percentages because it was new to me, but I tried it anyway and got a few of them correct. At the end of this game I got 34/40 and I was astonished and happy at the same time.

Fraction Bingo

Today I have completed this fraction bingo game. I had to find the fraction that is equivalent to the one given. It was challenging for me because I didn’t really know how to work it out and I didn’t understand it, but as I kept playing it more I kind of knew how to do it. I think this game would be perfect for someone who needs practise on their equivalent fractions because it will help them to understand it more.

Descriptive writing (Chocolate tasting)

Taste- A delicious sensation that is sweet

Smell- Sweet

See- A little brown treat

Feel- A nice soft piece of brown goodness

Hear- Nothing

The moment I heard that we were going to be tasting chocolate made me feel extremely excited. When the tiny brown treat was placed in front of me I could smell something sweet and delightful. As I  picked it up I felt a nice soft piece of brown goodness melt away in my hand very quickly. Finally I put the sweet treat in my mouth and a delicious sensation was going down my throat within seconds. When the treat disappeared my mouth cried with sadness and my tummy screamed for more.

WALT-write a descriptive paragraph

As I gazed at this nice looking golden brown treat which is placed in front of me.  My mouth starts to water then moments later CRUNCH  I took a bite of it. When I popped it in my mouth it tasted very sweet and it was also very crunchy. While the treat was going down my throat it felt like my brain was going to explode in 3 seconds because it was so delicious and it had so much flavour in it. When I finished the treat I felt very sad because it was extremely delicious.

Today in class I have been playing this division facts game. I found this game very simple because most of the questions were easy to do. During this game I got a few wrong because I wasn’t sure what the answer was. At the end of this game I got 28 questions correct and I was extremely happy because I didn’t think I was going to get that many.

Motutapu 10km walk

I am extremely grateful for the wonderful experience I had on Saturday doing the 10km walk it was really fun. I  just want to say thank you to Air New Zealand for paying our trip  to participate in the  walk. I would also like to say thank you to  the green team especially Donna from Doc for walking with me till the end. Once again thank you very much for providing good walking shoes, lunch,a free bag and the energy drinks.
