Weight Activity

Today in this activity I have been learning all about weight. I was given different weights on a scale, and I had to guess what the weight was for each one. I definitely think this game was helpful because it has made me even better at solving the weight of something. At the end of this game I was able to get 7 correct. Now I can confidently solve weight problems.

Today in class I have been measuring different kinds of objects. I had to estimate the weight of each object that I thought it could be. After doing that I then had to weigh the objects on a kitchen scale, to see what the outcome was. When I finished weighing the objects, I managed to get one measurement correct. I found this activity very fun because I was able to do something that I haven’t done before.

Sewing Class

Today was the final day we had to finish our cushion in sewing class. Last week I sewed my fabric together and got it ready to put stuffing inside. When I came to class today I then did the last step, which was to stuff it with the cushion. Once I finished stuffing it, I then sewed it together so that it would look very neat. I really enjoyed sewing class because I got to do something I haven't done before.

Maths (Probability)

Today I have been playing this game based on probability.  There were 3 red and blues balls in a machine and 1 yellow ball. I had spin the machine 12 times to see how many times each ball would come out. When I finished spinning the machine 12 times the outcome was even. Each of the balls came out 4 times. I was very surprised to see that it was even, because I didn’t think the yellow ball wouldn’t come out at all. I definitely think this game has helped me learn more about probability.

Butterfly Comprehension

Today I have completed this online reading comprehension about butterflies. As I was reading this,I was able to learn a lot about butterflies. One thing I learnt was all the stages that it goes through before it actually turns into a butterfly. When I finished reading this story I then had to answer the questions. I found some of the questions easy and some a bit challenging. When I completed answering the questions I managed to get most of them correct which made me feel very happy.

Today I have been learning about probability. When I first started I found it challenging and hard to solve, but as I kept learning about it I got better at it. While I was playing this game I was able to solve most of the questions that were given to me. At the end  I managed to get 50% which made me feel very glad. I definitely think this game has helped me because now I can solve probability confidently.
