Today I have just finished completing this maths activity on division facts. I really enjoyed playing this because it helped me to understand it and to help me learn it faster. At the end of this game I got 20 out of 20 and I was really happy about it. I think this game would be good for someone that is struggling and that needs help with their division facts because it can help them like it helped me.
I am a Year 8 student at Glen Innes School in Auckland, New Zealand. I am in Room 7 and my teacher is Mrs. Tuakoi.

The dog and black cats
One very cold blistering morning David the brown fluffy dog made a decision that it would be nice to go for a roam around the town then he could peacefully have a nap by the big green trees.
While he was deep asleep David the dog heard a strange little
noise coming from the bushes he thought that it might be his owner but
then around the corner came two small black cats. The two cats saw David
sleeping quietly and decided to climb all over him.
David did not want to upset the two cats and he started talking nicely to them and soon they became friends. A few minutes later David and the cats took a quick stroll around the town. While they were walking around they noticed that the town was very quiet and there was no one to be seen so David and the cats thought it might be a good time to go and search for some food.
As they were walking around the town quietly, David thought it was time to take them back to his house because they couldn't find any food. When they arrived at his house the two black cats started getting curious because they didn’t know where they were but then after a few days both of them felt welcomed and thought David the dog was very nice letting them stay with him.
A few snowy weeks later David and the two cats decided to play outside
happily. Later the two cats thanked David and decided to go back home.

Writing games
In this game I had to select the best comment that describes the headline. When I played this I noticed that the word comedian wasn't spelt correctly so I commented on it and got it right. I really enjoyed playing this because you get to spot what is wrong in the story.

Friends
I would like to tell you all about why we need friends. It is important that we have a friend because a friend is someone that is really nice to you and always plays with you so that you are not alone.
Everyone needs a friend because if we do not have a friend
then we would be doing everything by ourselves when we should
be doing it together and having fun with each other.
The main reason why we need friends is because a friend will cheer
you up when you are down and they will also look after you when you
are sad.
There are lots of reasons why we should have friends but it is important
that we have a friend so that we have someone to talk to.

How a toaster works?
A toaster is a machine that is controlled by the power of electricity and it is used for making toast or toasting all sorts of bread and muffins.
Toasters can come in many different shapes and also sizes it can also have four leavers to make four toasts at a time instead of just making two.
When people make toast the electricity is forced through the wires causing them to heat up and also causing them to glow. From there you will see that one wire glow orange which means that the toast is getting brown and starting to cook.
One of the parts of a toaster is called the heating element, it is used to convert electricity causing the toaster to heat up. Another part of the toaster is called the spring it is used in the toaster because when the toast is ready it will pop up telling you that it is ready. This is why there is a spring involved in a toaster. The different parts of the toaster are important because if they weren't in the toaster then the bread that you put in the toaster will not become toast, it will still be bread.
Toasters are important because without them we wouldn't be able to make toast.

Race Relations Day
Race Relations Day
Last Friday was a very special day because it was Race Relations Day.Everyone had to dress up in their culture costume or clothes. Most children did not put on their costume until lunch time before everyone went into the school hall. When we walked into the hall the children looked stunning. Students from different ethnic group had a speech in their own language. Then it was time for us to up onto the stage when the national anthem of our country was played. Finally when that was over the teachers shared something about their own culture. Mr. Naidoo had the final speech before we finished. Everyone felt special today, it was a fantastic day and we all enjoy it. I am already looking forward for next year’s Race Relations Day.
